Project: Shad Mayfield: No Days Off
This short documentary profiles world champion tie down roper Shad Mayfield, whose grit and determination reflect the spirit behind the Polaris Tough Doesn't Quit campaign. The film follows his push for a third world title, highlighting the physical toll of elite competition and his commitment to riding through two torn hip labrums as he continues to chase greatness.
My Role: I directed the documentary from initial story development through final delivery. I shaped the narrative to bring forward Shad's voice and personal history, planned and directed all on location production, and worked with crews to capture the balance between his discipline, environment, and rodeo craft. In post, I guided the edit, color, and sound and built social assets that extended the film's reach while maintaining its tone and integrity.
